TEACHER:
JANE STEELE is the owner of River House Rug Hooking Studio, Petite Riviere Bridge , NS. Jane studied textile marketing in England and worked with many European Mills supplying the UK garment industry. Moving to Nova Scotia in 2010, Jane started to plan a way to put her knowledge and love of colour, fabric and design into a business. She learned how to hook and quickly became “hooked”.
WORKSHOP:
At this workshop we will create Christmas Trees in either red or green, which can be decorated however you choose. The workshop will cover how to hook with various materials and textures. Instructions will be given on how to create the cone shape, with options for finishing techniques. Once you’ve made one cone, you’ll be able to make more at home – in any colour, for any occasion!
NEED TO BRING:
Bring along any embellishments you plan to use, for example – broken jewellery, beads, braid, etc.
SUPPLY COST:
The pattern on linen costs $30.00, OR You can purchase the full kit for $60.00 which includes the cone support, stretch velvet, Sari silk, chenille yarns, sparkle yarns, wide cut strips, bulky yarn, etc. Contact Jane to purchase either at: . 902-693-3111 or jane.riverhouse@gmail.com

$60.00 A deposit of $30.00 is required to register.

Coffee and tea will be provided. Please bring your own lunch, snacks, cutlery and mug.
Please do not bring anything with nuts due to severe allergy concerns.
