This position offers the opportunity for ongoing seasonal employment for the successful candidate. 

May 1, 2024 - October 13, 2024


Roles and responsibilities
• Full time position - 5 days a week - 10:00am – 5:00pm - minimum wage
• Required to work in the Fibre Market Place/ Museum as requested.
• Assist the Treasurer if required. Be trained to assist the Assistant Financial Officer.
• Assist in the Archives and Museum displays.
• Assist in making rug hooking kits.
• Assist in answering and directing phone calls. Taking messages.
• Ensures there are volunteers and students staffed for each day. Maintains volunteers list.
• Ensures tables/chairs are set up and taken down, floors swept for all events.
• Ensures Coffee/tea table is set up and replenished as needed and ensures supplies are on hand (milk, cream, sugar, etc.)
• Ensures washrooms/kitchen and Museum areas are clean, with sufficient supplies at all times
• Ensure garbage is set out by roadside for weekly collection according to Municipal schedule
• Order supplies as required
• Keeps track of registrations for Fibre Day/Hook-Ins received via e-mail/phone/in house
• Update list of attendees and confirm their registration via e-mail/phone, reminding them to please advise via e-mail if they are unable to attend
• Workshops - The Treasurer must be notified daily of any workshops paid for at the Museum and completed registrations forms placed on her desk.
• Reports any issues /problems to Vice-Chair or Treasurer
• Performs responsibilities as assigned by the Board

Requirements:
• Basic computer skills
• Strong organizational and planning skills. Ability to work as part of a team
• Some knowledge of media apps, such as the Web, Facebook. In house training will be given if necessary. Not a priority
