Mi'kmaq Exhibit

The Hooked Rug Museum is very pleased to have on display for public viewing this year eighteen magnificent pieces of hooked art designed by Indigenous artists (Gerald Gloade, Alan Syliboy, Lorne Julien and David Brooks).and hooked by rug hookers from the Colchester and Cumberland County areas in Nova Scotia. 

The hooked art you will see in this show were previously exhibited in the "Hooked on Mi'kmaq Art Exhibit" at the Millbrook Cultural Centre, Truro, Nova Scotia.

Here is a glimpse of the unique and wonderful works of art now on display until mid October.



 
Friday Friends
 
Friday Friends is a fun rug hooking group in Truro, Nova Scotia who get together to hook from September until June on Fridays.  When visiting the Museum this season, be sure to take time to view the Friday Friends display of fourteen works of art on display.

Nicholsville Rugrats

 

The Nicholsville Rugrats" rug hooking group has on display this year at the Hooked Rug Museum of North America thirteen of their group's fabulous creations of hooked pieces.  Here are a few of their works you will see while visiting the Museum.     Come see for yourself the wonderful works of art created one loop at a time. 

The “Nicholsville Rugrats” group hooks on Tuesday mornings at the Nicholsville Community Hall, Nicholsville, Nova Scotia.
