TEACHER:           Jayne Campbell.  Rug hookers amaze me and are so very talented so it is a great honour to come to the Museum to demonstrate                               and instruct a workshop in Felting, another fibre art.   Felting art is an  impressionist activity for me.  I get to blend colours into an                             environment already established using a variety of values and textures to create an appealing impressionist image.  When adding                               other natural items like twigs, beading, shells and embroidered sections, the sky is the limit.

WORKSHOP:       This is an appropriate workshop for a beginner or experienced person.  You will learn felting on a flat surface to create designs like                              those pictured above.  The background is a piece of 100% wool already dyed in multiple colours ready to work on and may be                                    purchased at the Museum or bring your own.  Other designs such as a tea pot cover will be available in class.
