TEACHER:                  JANE STEELE is the owner of River House Rug Hooking Studio, Petite Riviere Bridge , NS. Jane studied textile                                        marketing in England and worked with many European Mills supplying the UK garment industry. Moving to Nova                                    Scotia in 2010, Jane started to plan a way to put her knowledge and love of colour, fabric and design into a                                          business. She learned how to hook and quickly became “hooked”.

WORKSHOP:             Jane has all the Spruce Top designs ON RED DOT from Carol Harvey-Clarke, who passed away a few years ago.                                   These will all be available to the students who can transfer as many as they wish onto linen. At the same time                                       they will start to hook at least one pattern, with advice from Jane on colour, technique, materials as required.
                                 Jane will demonstrate how to prepare the linen, line up the red dot, and transfer the pattern successfully.
                                 She thinks this will be a lovely way to remember Carol....and perhaps once the students have finished their                                           pattern, have a display.

SUPPLIES:               Red Dot and linen will be available to buy from Jane, together with many other supplies.
